Caiman Hunter

Reptile Rescue and Removal

Caiman Hunter has been rescuing caiman and other reptiles since 2002.  With Shane and Bam at the helm, with over 20 years of combined reptile experience, Caiman Hunter has become the logical choice for people from around the country to find caring and knowledgeable herpetologists for the giving and receiving of rescued caiman and other reptiles and the humane removal of problem reptiles in Central Texas, including Williamson County.

In 2009, we expanded our purpose to include educating the public to the importance of reptiles, as well as some of the other animals we've rescued; to the concept of keystone species' and their purpose; creating an ecologically friendly home for all of our rescues; and to create a "petting zoo" atmosphere to educate the next generation.

Rescues have been received from Texas Wildlife, Round Rock Animal Control, Bayou Beasts and many other reputable and respectable organizations.

Removing snakes and other reptiles that find their way into your home or yard (that you didn't want there!) is another service that we provide.  Contact us for information.

The majority of our reptiles are nursed back to health and good homes are found for them.  Numerous animals have become favorites among our family of reptile experts and we're once again expanding our pond to accommodate the spectacled caiman that we've decided to keep.

Along with rescuing, re-homing or removing reptiles, for a very limited time, Caiman Hunter has allowed a couple of our spectacled caiman to breed.  This was done to make hatchlings available for sale, to help offset the ever growing costs of healing, raising and keeping the animals that we've rescued.  This is a very limited, rare occurrence and opportunity.

Caiman Hunter has been able to raise spectacled caiman in an atmosphere and condition that closely replicates the environment that they would be in naturally.

Water temperature, diet, land to water ratio and all other optimum conditions are strictly adhered to.

For more information on rescues, donating, contacting us for any reason, acquiring or learning more about your caiman, or to read the article Reptile Magazine published by our very own Caiman "Expert", the links and pages on this site should be able to answer most of your questions.
